Artist Statement
The sculpture ties back to memories I had with my grandmother as a child. My grandmother took care of me and my siblings when my parents went to work. This means I would hang around her while she made us lunch and run around her as she watched us play outside. I used felt to represent how soft my grandmother is and sewed it together with pink thread her favorite color.
